Is the voice replication and personalization Technology trying to create a living replacement of my loved one?
Not at all. The device does not think, does not learn, and will never try to stand in for your loved one. The device is meant to feel like an heirloom; something real and true that you can come back to when you miss them most. It simply holds on to what you give it; their voice, their words, your memories — and offers those back to you in moments of quiet. A photograph you can hear. Nothing more, and nothing less.
How does the device know what to say, and how does it stay true to their memory?
Every word the tribute speaks is grounded in the boundaries you set. During the initial setup, we collect detailed configuration data: their favorite phrases, their level of formality, their sense of humor, and strict "do not mention" lists. The system uses this framework to curate comforting phrases and share uploaded memories. It does not invent new life events; it uses pattern-matching to authentically reflect the personality and history you have explicitly approved.
Can the tribute hear what I say to it or see me?
Never. We never use the microphone, and the device is not designed to have live, open-ended conversations. It rests quietly until you choose to reach for it. It is not always-on, not always-listening, not a smart speaker. A short touch plays one type of memory. A longer touch plays another type. That is the entire interaction — safe, predictable, and fully within your control.
Does the tribute include specific religious or spiritual language?
Your loved one's worldview deserves to be reflected exactly as it was. If faith was central to their life, the tribute can carry scripture, prayer, or any spiritual language you choose. If they were secular, or somewhere in between, the tribute will honor that just as faithfully. The words and phrases are always under your control to change.
Who has access to the audio, photos, and stories I upload?
Your family's memories belong to your family. The voice recordings, photos, videos and stories you upload are encrypted and used only to build your specific tribute. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your loved one's voice to train public large language models. Only you, and the people you invite, will ever have access.
How long does the tribute creation process take?
As little or as much time as you need. The core setup takes about 20 minutes, and many families finish there. Others return over days or weeks — adding a phrase here, a story there — until the tribute feels exactly right. There is no rush. This is your time, and the tribute waits with you.
